Hello, fellow Muslims around the world. I blog to you from the majestic country of Saudi Arabia. I continue on during the 5th day of Zhul Hijjah to complete the journey of Hajj that I, as a Muslim, have taken upon my shoulders to cleanse both my mind and soul from the absurd things I've come across to my path of light.
After watching Hajj preparation videos on end, I learnt that there are quite a lot of things I needed for my journey, including a few things money couldn't buy. But as I sit here today, I have realized that the three things you definitely need to take on such a beautiful journey are SACRIFICE, PATIENCE and GRATEFULNESS.
On my first week, I stayed in one of the most expensive buildings in the world, Abraj Al Bait(alhamdullilah) overlooking the Masjid Al Haram. I continued on my Umrah as soon as we landed. I made my first look at the Kabah before starting my Umrah. Patience was key. Patience was what kept everyone from jostling and pushing each other. It helped remain calm and contained in big crowds.
For the first 10 minutes I started, I couldn't believe that what I was watching on T.V. the day before, I was standing in front of now. I was told that you needed a lot of strength and walking to get used to, but I continued on anyway. With my Zamzam as a power-up, I took on my tawaf. I'd like to wholeheartedly say that when I drank Zamzam, I felt a lot more energized.
Even though I felt more tired than I had ever, I also felt an accomplishment inside that led me to resort to the realization that what I was set to do was for the cause of Allah and Allah only. I swiftly finished the first 7 days of tawaf and Umrah with a light in my heart and motivation for Hajj as I made my way to Aziziya, Makkah. As a person who only stayed in 5-star hotels, coming to Aziziya was a whole new experience.

At first, I held myself back due to paranoia. But after coming to the realization that being GRATEFUL for what I have is key to my cleanse and changing the way I see things, I have been patient enough to allow myself to adapt to what I've been given.
To sum up, Hajj gives a completely new experience and let's all types of people from the elite and well off to the poor and needy get together for one and one only intention for Hajj to purify and dissipate their unfavorable deeds.
